- • Join ICF International's Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team as a Software Engineer (Node/React), a pivotal role focused on enhancing healthcare quality through innovative technology solutions.
- • This position is instrumental in developing a human-centric reporting system designed to improve patient care and consumer decision-making by providing hospital providers nationwide with outcomes-based hospital quality measure data.
- • You will be a key driver in articulating a vision for success and transforming it into tangible, impactful solutions for our clients, particularly the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- • The core of your work will involve building enterprise-level backend solutions and robust, scalable applications using modern technologies, with a strong emphasis on React, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- • Collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers, Product Owners, and UX designers to understand diverse user requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- • Contribute to the design and development of microservices and serverless applications within a cloud-based infrastructure, leveraging AWS technologies.
- • Implement web application enhancements and develop new applications utilizing the React framework, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- • Work alongside Architects and fellow Engineers to establish and implement development best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- • Partner with the test engineering team to guarantee the highest standards of product quality and reliability.
- • Actively participate in a fast-paced Agile development environment, embracing collaboration, flexibility, and iterative development cycles.
- • Engage in team code reviews and design reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of our codebase.
- • Support the triage of bugs and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring the stability and performance of live applications.
- • Cooperate effectively with back-end developers throughout the application development lifecycle.
- • Take ownership of your work, independently designing, developing, and documenting solutions while strictly adhering to all applicable standards, including architectural, coding, and security guidelines.
- • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline and optimize Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes.
- • Translate technical specifications into comprehensive test designs and develop automated testing solutions to ensure code quality and application integrity.
- • Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to the development of processes aimed at enhancing overall code quality and maintainability.
