Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume payment processing services that move millions of dollars monthly for 200,000+ mental-health providers. You will architect, code, test, and deploy .NET Core microservices that orchestrate ACH, credit-card, and wallet transactions while guaranteeing PCI-DSS compliance and sub-second latency.
- • Design resilient PostgreSQL schemas capable of storing 100M+ transaction records with millisecond-level query performance. You will craft complex stored procedures, optimize indexing strategies, and implement partitioning and sharding patterns that scale horizontally as TherapyBrands continues its 40 % year-over-year growth.
- • Integrate with 20+ external payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Square, Elavon, etc.) and internal billing, EMR, and practice-management APIs. You will build fault-tolerant adapters that gracefully handle rate limits, idempotency, webhooks, and reconciliation edge cases, ensuring that every penny is accounted for and every therapist gets paid on time.
- • Champion modern DevOps practices by containerizing services in Docker, orchestrating them in Kubernetes (EKS), and automating blue-green deployments through GitHub Actions. You will embed health checks, distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), and real-time alerting so the team sleeps well at night knowing the money pipeline is bulletproof.
- • Collaborate daily with Product, Compliance, and Customer Success in two-week Scrum sprints. You will translate regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2) into technical tasks, lead story estimation, and present sprint demos that show measurable reductions in chargebacks and payment failures.
- • Serve as the go-to mentor for mid-level engineers. You will conduct rigorous code reviews focused on SOLID principles, coach teammates on advanced PostgreSQL tuning, and pair-program on gnarly concurrency bugs until every line of code meets the bar for mission-critical financial software.
- • Instrument everything. You will add Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, and structured logging so anomalies are caught before clients notice. When production issues do occur, you will lead blameless post-mortems and turn incidents into automated regression tests.
- • Continuously modernize the stack. You will evaluate emerging fintech standards (FedNow, RTP, Open Banking) and propose phased rollouts that keep TherapyBrands ahead of the curve while protecting existing revenue streams.
- • Drive a culture of experimentation by leveraging GitHub Copilot and other AI-powered tools to accelerate boilerplate generation, improve unit-test coverage, and free human creativity for higher-order problem solving.
- • Document ruthlessly. From ADRs and API contracts to runbooks and disaster-recovery playbooks, you will ensure that tribal knowledge never becomes a single point of failure.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5 years of production experience with .NET Core / C# building high-throughput, low-latency backend services
- • Expert-level PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and stored procedures
- • Proven track record integrating RESTful payment or financial APIs (Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.) in a PCI-compliant environment
- • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- • Scrum or Agile fluency; Scrum Master certification or equivalent leadership experience is a strong plus
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100 % remote-first culture—work from anywhere in North Carolina (or beyond) with flexible hours and quarterly in-person summits
- • Competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus tied to company-wide OKRs
- • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental-health coverage starting day one, plus HSA and 401(k) with 4 % company match
- • Annual $2,000 professional-development stipend for conferences, courses, or certifications
- • 20 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a "Recharge Week" where the entire company shuts down between Christmas and New Year’s
