Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • As a Software Engineer in Production Engineering at Ramp, you will be a full-stack software engineer specializing in infrastructure, owning critical systems that handle real financial transactions at scale and ensuring Ramp’s platform is faster, more reliable, and more scalable.
- • Day to day, you will build and operate critical infrastructure across compute, storage, messaging, and observability stacks; drive architectural changes by owning solutions to reliability and scalability issues; partner with product teams during design to embed golden paths; contribute to Ramp’s shift to a cellular architecture for international scale and regulated environments; enable AI-native engineering by defining reusable infrastructure patterns; build developer tooling for self-service cost, performance, and reliability insights; participate in on-call rotations with a focus on eliminating root causes; and lead cross-team initiatives to improve company-wide reliability and scalability.
- • Production Engineering at Ramp operates as an embedded ownership layer with no separation between infra and product teams—you share the company’s goals as your own, proactively initiating improvements and staying invested until outcomes are achieved, guided by principles of urgency, systems thinking, and leaving things better than you found them.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, and AI-enabled platforms while shaping foundational patterns that empower the entire engineering organization; you’ll grow as a systems thinker and owner who drives impact beyond individual tickets, working on high-stakes infrastructure that supports over $100B in annualized spend across 50,000+ companies.
