📋 Description

• Software Engineer (Backend) role focused on building systems that power the Manufacturing Partner Marketplace, the operational heart of Protolabs Network, where you’ll own the full order lifecycle from matching orders to manufacturing partners through production, quality control, and on-time delivery.
• Day to day, you’ll design and implement backend services using Python 3.11+ with FastAPI, Flask, and SQLAlchemy, work with Celery and RabbitMQ for background tasks, leverage KNative for eventing, and collaborate on Kubernetes-based deployments on AWS EKS using Terraform and GitHub Actions.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Python 3.11+ with experience in backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or SQLAlchemy
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching systems (Redis)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and AWS EKS
• Background in DevOps practices including Terraform, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with asynchronous task queues such as Celery and message brokers like RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (Angular, TypeScript) is a plus for full-stack collaboration
