📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer, Quality at Twelve Labs Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and excellence of cutting-edge multimodal AI models that power video understanding applications used by global sports leagues, broadcast studios, and public safety systems—directly impacting how billions of users experience and interact with video content worldwide.
• You will join a mission-driven Deep Tech startup backed by top-tier investors like NVIDIA, NEA, and Index Ventures, recognized for four consecutive years in the CB Insights AI 100 list, where your work contributes to maintaining the highest standards of product quality in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites using Pytest, Jest, and Playwright to validate APIs, UIs, and SDKs across Twelve Labs’ AI products and services.
• You will collaborate closely with development and product teams from early feature definition through release, embedding quality considerations into the development lifecycle by defining test strategies, writing test cases, executing tests, and sharing results to drive continuous improvement.
• You will provision and manage test infrastructure on AWS, including EKS clusters, S3 storage, and Lambda functions, ensuring scalable and reliable environments for functional, performance (using tools like Locust), and model quality testing.
• You will own the end-to-end quality process—from test planning and case creation to execution, reporting, and feedback integration—ensuring that AI models and software releases meet stringent reliability benchmarks before reaching users.
• You will contribute to a culture of technical excellence rooted in honesty, resilience, and continuous learning, where your efforts directly support the team’s ability to ship trustworthy AI innovations at scale.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in test automation, cloud infrastructure, and AI system validation while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge multimodal models and their real-world applications in media, sports, and enterprise domains.
• You will have the opportunity to influence quality practices across a globally distributed team, shaping how Twelve Labs ensures product excellence as it expands its footprint in Seoul, San Francisco, and beyond.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for writing and maintaining test automation code
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest, Jest, and Playwright for API, UI, and SDK testing
• Practical experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure including EKS, S3, and Lambda services
• Ability to lead end-to-end quality management, including test strategy development, test case authoring, execution, and result reporting
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams
