- • Participate in weekly stand-ups and deliver Situation Reports (SITREPS) to leadership detailing progress, issues, and resource needs for test platforms.
- • Develop and execute streamlined test plans focused on mission-critical objectives while prioritizing safety and eliminating unnecessary procedures.
- • Ensure strict adherence to baseline safety plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks without compromising team agility or innovation.
- • Communicate clearly and consistently across teams to foster collaboration, align on priorities, and ensure seamless information flow throughout the organization.
- • Serve as a key contributor within the Test and Evaluation team, helping shape the overarching testing strategy and enabling the transition of prototypes into formal development.
- • Evaluate, integrate, and test sensor systems designed for operation by both human operators and autonomous planning agents.
- • Debug complex Linux networking issues affecting unmanned systems and test platforms.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, manufacturing, and software engineering to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, sensor, and software components.
- • Work hands-on with electrical and mechanical systems to validate performance, reliability, and interoperability in real-world test environments.
- • Support rapid development cycles by integrating and advancing test platforms that accelerate prototype validation and system iteration.
- • Operate and maintain small unmanned aerial systems (UAS) during field testing and development phases.
- • Contribute to the configuration, customization, and testing of unmanned vehicles using Pixhawk autopilot systems and the ArduPilot stack.
- • Travel as needed to remote test sites across the United States to conduct field evaluations and system validations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years combined professional experience
- • 2+ years of professional software development experience
- • 2+ years of relevant experience in UAS integration, testing, and project management
- • Strong proficiency in C++ or Rust with experience in Linux development environments
- • Demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
- • Hands-on experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems
- • In-depth knowledge of Pixhawk autopilot systems and ArduPilot stack, including integration, configuration, customization, and testing
- • Practical experience in the operation, testing, and development of small UAS
- • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- • Willing and able to travel on an as-needed basis to remote test sites throughout the United States
