📋 Description
- • Architect scalable, stateful systems for automated limit management to optimize Ramp’s charge card portfolio, directly influencing $100+ billion in annual payment volume.
- • Envision and build the next generation of agents and tools that automate manual Risk decisions, increasing operational efficiency across the product stack.
- • Develop high-volume, low-latency Risk controls to support Ramp’s expansion into new products, customer segments, and geographies while maintaining system integrity.
- • Design and build real-time decisioning systems that span the entirety of a business’ tenure on Ramp, from onboarding to ongoing transaction monitoring.
- • Partner closely with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to translate complex risk strategies into reliable, production-grade software.
- • Own the technical roadmap for portfolio optimization and agentic workflows, ensuring systems are robust, auditable, and observability-first.
- • Build systems with strict correctness guarantees, including audit trails, monitoring, and fail-safes for high-stakes financial transactions.
- • Automate complex operational tasks within Risk workflows to reduce manual intervention and scale risk management across 50,000+ businesses.
- • Maintain and evolve existing risk infrastructure to support evolving business needs without compromising system reliability or compliance.
- • Work with distributed systems and async frameworks to ensure low-latency, high-throughput decisioning under real-time transaction loads.
- • Convert abstract business problems in risk strategy into clear data models, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- • Champion a high-ownership mentality by taking end-to-end responsibility for systems from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
- • Collaborate with non-engineering partners including Risk Strategy, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure technical solutions drive measurable business impact.
- • Continuously improve system resilience, observability, and performance to meet the demands of a rapidly scaling FinTech platform.
- • Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident response to uphold engineering standards across the Risk team.
- • Ensure all systems are built with defensive programming principles to anticipate edge cases, failures, and adversarial behavior in financial contexts.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Ramp’s risk infrastructure as the company introduces new financial products and expands internationally.
