📋 Description
- • Build and maintain backend services and integration layers for distributed, multi-party applications as a remote Software Engineer with Obsidian Systems Inc.
- • Work daily in Scala and TypeScript, collaborating with consulting project teams and engaging in client interaction across the USA, Canada, and UK time zones.
- • Join a remote-first, intellectually challenging environment focused on functional programming and distributed systems, serving clients in regulated and enterprise settings.
- • Develop deep expertise in Scala, TypeScript, Linux/NixOS, API design, data modeling, and testing while contributing to complex, real-world applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years in functional programming
- • Production experience in Scala and/or TypeScript
- • Familiarity with Linux, Nix, or NixOS
- • Strong fundamentals: data modeling, APIs, testing
- • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable in a remote team
