📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer, Test (SDET) at Brinc Ltd., you will own quality engineering and test automation for the LiveOps web platform and services, ensuring first responders can depend on mission-critical systems during 911 responses.
• You will design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for API, integration, and end-to-end coverage; validate security controls and ML model outputs; integrate tests into CI/CD; and partner across engineering teams to shift quality left in the development lifecycle.
• Brinc Ltd. is a public safety innovator creating life-saving tools like drones and 911 response networks, used by over 600 agencies nationwide and backed by $150M+ from top investors including Index Ventures and Motorola Solutions.
• In this role, you will deepen expertise in cloud testing, real-time systems, and security validation while driving quality culture across a mission-driven engineering organization solving high-stakes, ambiguous problems.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-12 years of experience in software test engineering, SDET, or quality engineering for web and cloud platforms
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript and Python with ability to write production-quality test code
• Hands-on experience building web and API test automation with Playwright from the ground up
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in Linux and bash environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and testing distributed, service-based architectures
• Strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate across teams and influence quality practices
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or similar field, or equivalent practical experience
