📋 Description
- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and migration in production-like environments.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications that define coding challenges, including expected behavior, constraints, and edge cases.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for accuracy, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying ambiguities, logical flaws, and potential failure modes.
- • Create reference implementations in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and optionally Java, C#, or Go that serve as correct solutions for evaluated tasks.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs across all dimensions of functionality and quality.
- • Navigate and analyze large, complex multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Conduct thorough code reviews of submissions from other contributors, providing structured, actionable feedback on correctness, efficiency, and readability.
- • Design realistic software engineering scenarios that mirror actual production challenges faced by engineering teams.
- • Maintain high standards for test coverage, code robustness, and documentation quality in all delivered artifacts.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workflow.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks and validation artifacts on deadline without direct supervision.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of software engineering experts to refine task quality and evaluation criteria.
- • Use own tools and infrastructure to complete all work; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
- • May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.
- • Participate in iterative feedback loops to improve task design, evaluation rubrics, and overall quality of the engineering evaluation pipeline.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
