📋 Description
- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation in production-like environments.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges for evaluation.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, potential failure modes, and inconsistencies between specifications, code, and expected outputs.
- • Ensure all deliverables — including code, tests, and feedback — meet production-grade standards for quality and realism.
- • Contribute to the creation of realistic software engineering scenarios used to train and evaluate AI models.
- • Navigate and analyze large, complex, multi-file codebases to understand architecture, dependencies, and implementation patterns.
- • Perform code reviews and refactoring tasks to improve maintainability, readability, and performance of existing code.
- • Execute production migrations and system upgrades as part of task design, ensuring backward compatibility and minimal disruption.
- • Maintain strict adherence to coding best practices and industry standards across all deliverables.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver high-quality artifacts including reference implementations, test coverage reports, and structured peer review feedback.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of software engineering experts to refine task quality and evaluation criteria.
- • Use own tools, environments, and infrastructure to complete all work; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
- • May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.
- • Receive payment on a per-project basis, with rates estimated based on anticipated time to complete each task.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
