📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation in production-like environments.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges for AI training purposes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and edge case handling.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements, identifying ambiguities, edge cases, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict consistency between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs to maintain high-fidelity training data for AI models.
• Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to simulate real-world software engineering scenarios.
• Participate in code review processes by evaluating the quality, structure, and maintainability of peer submissions.
• Contribute to production migrations and code refactoring tasks that reflect realistic engineering workflows and technical debt resolution.
• Work on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload pacing.
• Provide all necessary tools and infrastructure; no company equipment is provided.
• Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks that serve as training data for a leading AI lab.
• Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve the quality and diversity of AI training datasets.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English at an advanced level for all documentation, specifications, and feedback.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of software engineering experts on a remote, project-based engagement.
• Accept payment on a per-project basis, with rates estimated based on anticipated completion time and complexity.
• May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with this role’s terms.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
