📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and migration in production-like environments.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications that define coding challenges and expected outcomes for software engineering tasks.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for accuracy, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict consistency between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across all dimensions of the coding challenge.
• Navigate and analyze large, complex, multi-file codebases to evaluate code quality, architecture, and maintainability in realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Perform code reviews of peer submissions, providing structured, actionable feedback on correctness, efficiency, readability, and adherence to best practices.
• Create realistic software engineering scenarios that mirror actual production challenges faced by backend and full-stack engineers in high-stakes environments.
• Refactor existing codebases to improve structure, performance, or scalability while preserving functionality and meeting defined requirements.
• Generate test cases that cover normal, edge, and failure conditions to ensure robust validation of implemented solutions.
• Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workflow.
• Contribute to an AI training project in collaboration with a leading AI lab, producing high-quality data used to improve AI systems’ software engineering capabilities.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English to ensure all specifications, feedback, and documentation are clear, precise, and unambiguous.
• Use own tools and infrastructure; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
• May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.
• Deliver complete and correct reference implementations that serve as authoritative solutions for each coding task.
• Produce robust validation artifacts including test coverage reports, execution logs, and failure analysis summaries.
• Ensure all deliverables meet production-grade standards for quality, reliability, and realism.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
