📋 Description
- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation in production-like environments.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality, production-realistic evaluation benchmarks.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring evaluations to assess the quality of peer submissions and provide structured, actionable feedback.
- • Contribute to production migrations by designing realistic scenarios that simulate real-world system upgrades and dependency changes.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver high-quality, validated coding tasks and associated artifacts including reference implementations, test suites, and peer review feedback.
- • Operate as a remote consultant, providing own tools and infrastructure, with flexibility to engage with other vendors or employers as permitted by their policies.
- • Collaborate with an AI lab team to create realistic software engineering evaluation datasets used to train and assess AI models.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Apply 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience to design tasks that reflect authentic developer challenges in backend or full-stack systems.
- • Utilize strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go to build diverse and technically accurate coding scenarios.
- • Ensure all deliverables meet production-grade standards for accuracy, completeness, and educational value for AI training purposes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
