- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation in production-like environments.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges for evaluation.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict consistency between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs across diverse software engineering scenarios.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Perform code reviews and provide structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to maintain high standards of technical accuracy and pedagogical value.
- • Contribute to the creation of realistic software engineering evaluation content used for training AI models in real-world coding contexts.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workload pacing.
- • Utilize personal tools and environments to complete assignments; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of software engineering experts to refine and validate coding tasks.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Engage in production migrations and refactoring exercises that mirror real-world legacy system modernization challenges.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks with complete reference implementations and robust test coverage as deliverables for each project.
- • Submit validated artifacts including test suites, code reviews, and specification documents that meet defined quality benchmarks.
- • Operate as an independent contractor; may simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this role’s requirements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
