• • As Software Engineering Director for Platform Integration at Olix USA Inc., you will lead and scale an organization of over 30 engineers and 5 managers responsible for cluster orchestration, platform management, networking (ingress/egress), and field engineering, ensuring OLIX systems operate as hyperscale AI infrastructure. This role is critical to advancing the company’s mission of building the Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), a next-generation chip designed to overcome the limitations of current AI hardware by delivering unprecedented performance and energy efficiency.
• • You will set the vision and long-term technical direction for Platform Integration, translating business strategy into clear engineering priorities while holding the organization accountable for delivering reliable, scalable systems that support distributed AI workloads at scale.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and leading a high-performing engineering organization, developing managers who take ownership of customer outcomes and system reliability—not just delivery metrics—and establishing architectural principles, review cadences, and quality standards that define technical excellence across teams.
• • You will shape technical decisions around cluster orchestration, scheduling, and fleet management systems, making strategic investments in infrastructure that enable OLIX to meet the growing demands of AI workloads while maintaining high SLOs, observability, incident response, and security standards.
• • A key part of your role involves fostering a healthy, high-performance culture that balances innovation, speed, and operational excellence—coaching and developing engineers and managers to raise the collective ceiling of what the organization can achieve, rather than focusing solely on hitting targets.
• • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment between platform capabilities and product goals, shutting down work that does not serve customer or business outcomes and doubling down on what drives real impact.
