📋 Description

• • Shape the future of marketing automation as you lead a high-performing, cross-functional engineering squad in Kraków that ships production code daily to 180,000+ global ActiveCampaign customers. You will own the full delivery lifecycle—from technical discovery through CI/CD to post-release observability—while nurturing a culture of craftsmanship, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
• • Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier PHP, Java, and Python engineers in a brand-new hub that you will help define. You will conduct structured 1:1s, craft individual growth plans, run inclusive hiring loops with the People Team, and ensure every new joiner is productive within their first two weeks.
• • Drive architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and security. You will review pull requests for clarity, performance, and test coverage; champion domain-driven design; and introduce patterns that let us evolve legacy monoliths into resilient, event-driven microservices running on AWS.
• • Establish and monitor SLIs/SLOs that keep our platform fast and reliable. You will pair with SREs to instrument distributed tracing, tune autoscaling policies, and lead blameless post-mortems that turn incidents into durable improvements.
• • Collaborate daily with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and Data Scientists to translate customer pain points into clearly scoped epics. You will run sprint planning, backlog refinement, and quarterly OKR reviews that keep the team laser-focused on outcomes, not output.
• • Instill a quality-first mindset by embedding automated testing, contract testing, and security scanning into every pull request. You will define the Definition of Done, roll out feature flags, and ensure releases can be rolled back in under five minutes without customer impact.
• • Evangelize engineering excellence across the broader organization. You will host internal tech talks, contribute to shared libraries, and sit on architecture guilds that set standards for observability, clean code, and inclusive design across 30+ engineering teams worldwide.
• • Be the cultural catalyst for our Kraków expansion. You will design onboarding bootcamps, organize meetups and hack-days, and represent ActiveCampaign at local conferences to position our office as the go-to destination for ambitious engineers in Central Europe.
