- • Lead the Aviation team in building world-class remotely piloted aircraft and ground systems for public safety customers, delivering flying cameras (drones) that enable first responders to gain real-time situational awareness in harsh environments across the country.
- • Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions while managing a fully remote team of engineers, ensuring high engineering standards through code reviews, performance coaching, and career development.
- • Collaborate closely with Product Management to clarify requirements, align on priorities, and ensure seamless handoff from specifications to delivery using agile processes.
- • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, implementing process enhancements, and establishing measurable goals for team and individual growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing engineering teams, with strong skills in coaching, performance management, and career growth.
- • Strong technical proficiency in TypeScript with ReactJS and Golang, including the ability to conduct thorough code reviews and engage in architectural discussions.
- • Demonstrated experience in project management, leading initiatives from planning through delivery while ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a fully remote environment, with proactive asynchronous support and feedback.
- • Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification, including passing a fingerprint-based background check per FBI CJIS Security Policy.
