📋 Description

• Manage multiple concurrent software development projects for key clients in the UK and Europe, from initiation to completion
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules for technical software initiatives
• Facilitate clear communication between client teams, engineering teams, and other stakeholders across distributed, remote environments
• Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers, and take action to mitigate them before they impact delivery
• Regularly update the project management system (Linear) and escalate critical blockers or risks to ensure projects remain on track
• Organize and lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions
• Track and communicate project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and milestone achievements to leadership and stakeholders
• Foster seamless collaboration among remote teams operating across multiple time zones in the UK and Europe
• Advocate for and implement best practices in software development and agile project management within a consulting context
• Translate between technical and non-technical audiences to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely delivery of complex blockchain and fintech solutions
• Work closely with engineering teams specializing in blockchain solutions for financial and regulatory institutions
• Ensure adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban throughout project lifecycles
• Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with clients in traditional and non-traditional financial institutions
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver high-impact client initiatives in the blockchain and fintech sectors
• Support the expansion of Obsidian Systems’ presence in the UK and European markets through effective project execution and client relationship management

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years managing technical software projects within agile frameworks, ideally in a consulting context
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Experience managing projects in the financial, regulatory, fintech, blockchain, AI/ML, SaaS, data science, or open-source domains
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
• Demonstrated ability to lead fully remote, distributed teams and coordinate work across time zones
• Outstanding communication, organization, relationship-building, and influencing skills
