- • As a Software Release Manager at Edgesource Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the secure and compliant release of software systems supporting vital national security missions for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Intelligence Community.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include documenting and preparing comprehensive notes on completed Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps, participating in technical meetings with the CIO Team, collaborating with development teams to assess application architecture, developing strategies for guiding software through Change Management, overseeing secure data transfers across domains, staying current with cybersecurity and risk management trends, analyzing technical documents for leadership inquiries, and creating and updating detailed documentation on application architecture, cybersecurity controls, and the software development lifecycle.
- • You will join a team of Information System Security Officers and technical professionals at Edgesource, an ISO 9001:2015 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised small business with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative technology solutions to federal, state, and commercial clients, specializing in software development, cybersecurity, and enterprise networking.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in NIST 800-53 and the DoD Risk Management Framework, strengthen your ability to bridge software development lifecycle integration skills, enhance your stakeholder communication abilities, and contribute directly to the security and success of mission-critical software systems protecting national interests.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active TS/SCI security clearance
- • Industry-recognized certification CompTIA Security+CE; other certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly valued
- • A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field
- • 5+ years of experience in with NIST standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- • Strong understanding of security controls, vulnerability assessments, and incident response procedures
- • Demonstrated understanding of software development practices, including expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
