📋 Description

• As a Solution Architect specializing in Azure and software development, you will define and communicate a shared technical vision to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals at Velera, a leading fintech CUSO serving over 4,000 financial institutions.
• Day to day, you will create detailed solution designs covering software, hardware, infrastructure, data, and security; collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to guide Agile teams; evaluate and select technologies including Azure and AWS; define architectural standards and patterns; ensure scalability, performance, security, and compliance; manage cloud costs; optimize solution performance; and gather internal insights via data queries and reporting to inform product functionality.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise integration, and technology strategy while making measurable impacts on client-facing solutions and advancing your leadership in architectural governance and innovation within a growing fintech leader.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and work experience
• Minimum of 8-10 years of professional and technical experience in architecture disciplines, IT, business operations, or project estimation
• Advanced experience with programming/scripting languages, application testing, analysis, and design
• Experience designing in Azure cloud environment (AWS a plus) and prior experience with Azure services
• Advanced knowledge of API technologies and integration solutions
• Prior experience with Agile/Scrum framework
• 2+ years direct experience with cloud and hybrid-cloud based technology solutions
• TOGAF training or certification is a plus
