- • As a Solutions Architect at Agility IO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of client projects by defining resilient, scalable, and cost-effective architectures for web, mobile, and cloud systems—directly impacting the success of engagements with startups and Fortune 500 companies across LATAM and beyond.
- • You will lead technical discovery, mentor engineering teams, and bridge the gap between sales and delivery by translating business goals into actionable engineering plans, while also contributing hands-on to ensure architectural integrity is maintained throughout implementation.
- • Agility IO is a global software development firm with over 400 professionals across NYC and Vietnam, specializing in custom application development; this role offers a unique opportunity to help define and scale the Solutions Architect function as the company grows.
- • Your day-to-day will involve leading solution design for greenfield and modernization projects, conducting stakeholder interviews, gathering requirements, performing risk analysis, and estimating effort to inform proposals and SOWs.
- • You will create and maintain architecture artifacts such as C4/UML diagrams, sequence and data flow diagrams, and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), ensuring alignment with technical roadmaps and project goals.
- • A key part of your role will be supporting the sales team during technical calls, RFPs, scoping sessions, and demos—clearly articulating how technical solutions meet client objectives while identifying risks and opportunities early.
- • You will mentor and upskill engineers through design and code reviews, pair programming, and architectural coaching, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
- • When needed, you will contribute hands-on to projects by writing code, debugging complex issues, and unblocking bottlenecks—ensuring that architectural guidance is practical and implementable.
- • You will help define reference architectures, establish coding standards, and promote CI/CD/IaC best practices, championing reliability, observability, and cost optimization across engagements.
- • You will lead evaluations of emerging technologies and frameworks by building proofs of concept and spikes to validate assumptions before adoption.
- • Ensuring non-functional requirements—such as availability, latency, compliance, and security—are clearly defined, met, and measurable will be a core responsibility.
- • You will document and formalize the Solutions Architect role at Agility IO by creating guidelines, success metrics, and repeatable frameworks to enable consistency and scalability as the team expands.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of professional software development and architecture experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or client-facing technical role
- • Proven experience designing scalable systems on AWS or Azure, including serverless, containers/Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), with proficiency in at least one additional language such as C#, Python, or similar
