Solutions Architect - SAP

📋 Description

• • Architect, maintain, and iterate on Zip’s core SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and Ariba integration templates to ensure scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations.
• • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams to align integration templates with core product architecture, field insights, and evolving customer needs.
• • Analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable data mapping patterns and system-specific nuances, converting bespoke solutions into standardized internal assets.
• • Support pre-sales engineering efforts by designing and vetting integration architectures with account teams to ensure prospective customers are set up for smooth, best-practice deployments.
• • Define, document, and champion technical solution consulting best practices across all implementation teams to raise the technical bar and drive consistency.
• • Develop deep expertise across additional ERP ecosystems beyond SAP, becoming the primary subject matter expert on integration architecture, data models, and Zip’s App Studio.
• • Design and execute technical solutions with an engineering mindset — building once thoroughly to enable effortless future implementations.
• • Balance high-level architectural design with hands-on execution, including direct involvement in API configurations and template modifications to ensure quality and accuracy.
• • Translate highly technical integration requirements and constraints into clear, actionable guidance for audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
• • Work directly with API documentation to configure, test, and troubleshoot integration errors across REST, XML, IDocs, BAPI/RFC, and OData endpoints.
• • Quickly document customer requirements with minimal oversight, ensuring accurate translation of business needs into technical specifications.
• • Maintain a continual learning mindset, proactively expanding knowledge of new technologies and platforms Zip integrates with in the future.
• • Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and proactive problem-solving, consistently identifying opportunities to improve systems through systematic, repeatable enhancements.
• • Collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams to ensure integration workflows reflect both technical feasibility and customer-facing priorities.
• • Apply process-driven thinking with a bias toward continuous improvement, always seeking to refine and optimize integration standards and operational workflows.
• • Serve as a technical bridge between field teams and internal product development, ensuring customer feedback directly informs product evolution and integration design.
• • Contribute to the creation of reusable integration assets that reduce time-to-value for hundreds of future enterprise implementations across global customers.
• • Drive technical excellence by setting and upholding standards for data modeling, authentication protocols, and system interoperability across SAP and non-SAP environments.
• • Act as a trusted advisor during customer onboarding, ensuring technical implementations adhere to Zip’s best practices and architectural guidelines.
• • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP modules (MM/FI) and procurement platforms, leveraging this expertise to inform broader ERP integration strategy.
• • Ensure all integration solutions are built for permanence and scale, minimizing rework and maximizing efficiency across the customer implementation lifecycle.
