- • As a Solutions Engineer at Flox, you will serve as the technical counterpart in the sales process, bridging deep technical expertise with customer engagement to help Fortune 500 companies adopt Flox’s platform for reproducible software environments.
- • You will partner with sales to run discovery, shape technical solutions, and lead proofs of concept from scoping to execution, ensuring clear success criteria and a path to purchase.
- • You will build and maintain demo environments using real-world stacks including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and Nix-based workflows, keeping a library of adaptable environments ready for customer evaluations.
- • You will craft technical narratives, reference architectures, integration guides, and runbooks that make Flox’s value clear to diverse audiences, from platform engineers to executive leadership.
- • You will represent Flox publicly through conference talks, meetups, customer workshops, and booth duty, contributing to brand visibility and technical credibility.
- • You will work within a fast-moving, open-culture Series B startup backed by top US VCs, where your technical demonstrations directly influence deal outcomes and customer trust.
- • You will develop mastery in translating complex infrastructure concepts into compelling, demo-driven stories that accelerate sales cycles and establish Flox as an essential tool in modern developer workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a hands-on technical customer-facing role at a developer tools, infrastructure, or developer experience (devex) company.
- • Technical depth with terminal-native proficiency: ability to read and write code, debug stack traces in real time, and build prototypes to customer specifications without engineer support.
- • Working proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, Node/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, or Rust.
- • Strong communication skills: ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and executives, adapting messaging in real time.
- • Comfort standing up, adapting, and troubleshooting demo environments across varied stacks, including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
- • Deep fluency in the surrounding ecosystem: containers, Kubernetes, Docker internals, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, with ability to position Flox relative to existing customer tools.
- • Ability to manage multiple parallel evaluations without losing focus or dropping threads.
- • Strong bias to action and execution: preference for building and demonstrating over theoretical discussion.
