Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the technical engine for Partly’s European expansion, driving new-market deals across the UK and Nordics from initial conversation to signed pilot.
- • Own end-to-end technical deployment of Partly’s platform and AI tools, unblocking integration hurdles and translating complex customer workflows into actionable technical solutions.
- • Build and debug custom integrations with enterprise systems such as CABAS estimating platforms, enabling seamless data flow for pilot deployments.
- • Design and develop market-specific demos and experimental prototypes to demonstrate the capabilities of Partly.ai and Interpreter, accelerating customer buy-in before full engineering investment.
- • Conduct Technical Readiness Assessments (TRAs) to map customer systems, dependencies, and data formats, ensuring both parties have a clear understanding of pilot requirements.
- • Translate customer data challenges into commercial value by building calculators, reporting dashboards, and value-proposition frameworks tailored to insurers, repairers, and fleet operators.
- • Act as the primary technical liaison between Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, translating customer feedback and recurring deal blockers into prioritized product requirements.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet tight deadlines, aligning engineering timelines with commercial goals and ensuring seamless delivery of technical solutions.
- • Work directly with Partly’s proprietary foundation model, Interpreter, trained on licensed OEM build data from 52+ manufacturers, to deliver unmatched accuracy in automotive parts identification and procurement automation.
- • Deploy Partly’s dual-layer platform — Partly.com (B2B infrastructure) and Partly.ai (AI tool for repairers) — into new markets, adapting solutions to local data inconsistencies and industry standards.
- • Independently review and manipulate data using SQL, debug codebases, and prototype solutions without relying on engineering teams to execute.
- • Break down ambiguous, messy real-world problems into root causes and scalable solutions, avoiding one-off fixes in favor of sustainable technical architectures.
- • Maintain strong rapport with enterprise customers, fluently translating between their operational language and Partly’s technical capabilities.
- • Operate with high ownership as the sole solutions engineer in the UK and Nordics, driving deals forward with minimal supervision and full accountability for outcomes.
- • Leverage any available tools to enhance efficiency while retaining full ownership of the results and impact of technical decisions.
- • Shape product development by feeding market-specific insights directly into Product Roadmaps based on recurring customer needs and integration challenges.
- • Participate in quarterly “Season Openers” with the global team, including travel and accommodation covered by Partly, to align on strategy and culture.
- • Support onboarding through connection with the nearest global office (London, Christchurch, or Austin) and receive relocation assistance if moving to join the team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Comfortable working close to data and code; able to write SQL, read and debug codebases, and build demos or prototypes independently
- • Strong technical problem-solver and systems thinker who breaks ambiguous, messy problems into root causes and generalisable solutions
- • Commercially minded with ability to build business cases, calculators, and reporting that demonstrate technical value in customer terms
- • Excellent communicator who builds rapport and translates fluently between customer workflows and Partly’s Product and Engineering teams
- • Self-directed with high ownership; comfortable being the only solutions engineer in a market, owning problems end-to-end with little hand-holding
- • (Preferred) Experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or forward-deployed roles, ideally integrating with or selling to enterprise customers
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary + equity options, ensuring shared financial upside with company success
- • Annual global offsite in Christchurch, New Zealand, with travel and accommodation covered for UK and EU team members
- • 3 months fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, plus four days at full pay during the first three months of return-to-work
- • Daily team lunches provided in the office (Monday to Friday)
- • £750 annual wellness allowance on a Partly-branded card for gym memberships, physio, massage, GP visits, prescriptions, and other health-related expenses
- • Quarterly “Season Openers” with travel and accommodation covered, plus monthly team catch-ups and weekly happy hours
