- • Teach online Spanish language courses including Intermediate Spanish I and II, Advanced Spanish I, Modern Spanish-Speaking Cultures, and Business Spanish I and II as an adjunct faculty member for UMGC Stateside.
- • Engage students through frequent interaction, guide collaborative learning, provide constructive feedback using rubrics, and demonstrate current subject-matter expertise in Spanish language and culture.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven institution serving 90,000 students, including adult learners and military-affiliated populations, with a focus on accessibility and student success.
- • Develop teaching skills in online higher education, gain experience in curriculum feedback, and grow as a scholar-practitioner in Spanish language pedagogy and cultural instruction.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s Degree in Spanish, Spanish language pedagogy, Spanish linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- • Three (3) years of experience teaching the Spanish language.
- • Experience teaching business Spanish and cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world, with demonstrated ability to teach entirely in Spanish.
- • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- • Must be able to teach remotely, with access to microphone, speakers, and capability for occasional synchronous work.
