📋 Description
- • The Special Claims Desk Investigator plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of insurance operations by detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent claims, directly supporting the company’s mission to maintain trust and financial stability in the insurance industry.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting investigations into suspected fraud ring activity, securing and analyzing documentation such as policies, appraisals, and statements, identifying fraud trends, coordinating with law enforcement and internal teams, preparing detailed investigation reports, and providing expert testimony when needed.
- • The role is part of Great American Insurance Group’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU), a respected team within a Fortune 500-backed organization known for combining a ‘small company’ culture with ‘big company’ expertise, offering stability, innovation, and career growth across 30+ specialty insurance operations.
- • This position offers the opportunity to develop advanced investigative skills, gain expertise in fraud detection methodologies, collaborate with legal and law enforcement entities, and potentially mentor junior staff while contributing to organizational fraud prevention initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- • 3 to 6 years of related experience, including specific background in Criminal Investigation or Fraud Detection.
- • Professional designation such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Private Investigator license, or equivalent credential from a recognized national or state investigative organization is preferred.
