📋 Description

• The Special Projects Manager - Insurance role at Tide Platform Limited is pivotal to driving the commercial success and strategic growth of Tide’s insurance offerings in India, directly supporting the company’s mission to help SMEs save time and money through innovative, data-driven financial solutions.
• This role owns the end-to-end insurance business in India, working at the intersection of insurance partnerships, product strategy, funnel optimization, and execution, with clear accountability for revenue, penetration, conversion, and retention outcomes in a fast-moving fintech environment.
• Day to day, the incumbent will own the commercial strategy for Tide’s insurance offerings in India, including defining quarterly OKRs aligned to revenue, penetration, conversion, and retention targets.
• They will identify priority insurance categories such as health, motor, liability, asset, and employee benefits tailored to SME needs, ensuring product relevance and market fit.
• The role involves building and managing strategic partnerships with insurers, brokers, TPAs, and insurtech players, negotiating commercial terms, commission structures, and SLAs to maximize value and scalability.
• They will identify and execute synergies across Tide’s banking, payments, and credit products to create bundled offerings that enhance customer lifetime value.
• Working closely with the product team, they will define the insurance product roadmap by translating customer insights and partner constraints into actionable product requirements.
• They will optimize the insurance funnel across discovery, purchase, onboarding, and renewals, driving product-led growth through in-app journeys, cross-sell, and upsell strategies.
• Performance tracking is central: they will monitor dashboards and metrics to identify drop-offs and growth levers, ensuring execution rigor across launches, experiments, and partner rollouts.
• Early risk flagging across compliance, underwriting, partner dependencies, and tech readiness is critical to maintaining operational integrity.
• Acting as the primary insurance SPOC, they will collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Ops, and Growth teams to ensure smooth delivery and provide leadership with data-driven updates and recommendations.
• The team operates within Tide’s global footprint of over 2,500 employees across the UK, India, Germany, and France, with technology centers in Hyderabad, Gurugram, New Delhi, Sofia, Serbia, Romania, and Lithuania, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and innovation-driven culture.
• In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in embedded insurance models within fintech, sharpen strategic and commercial acumen in high-growth environments, and gain end-to-end ownership of a scalable B2B2C insurance product line.
• They will enhance leadership visibility by influencing senior stakeholders and shaping Tide’s insurance roadmap, positioning themselves for advancement into broader commercial or product leadership roles within the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Must have prior experience working in the Insurance industry (insurer, broker, insurtech, or embedded insurance setup)
• Must have 6-12 years of experience in Program Management, Strategy, Consulting, or Chief of Staff–type roles
• Proven experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management at senior leadership level
• Exceptional structured thinking, communication, and presentation skills
• High ownership mindset with ability to operate independently
• Experience in fintech, startups, tech, or regulated environments
• Prior exposure to CEO/Founders’ office or leadership PMO
• MBA or equivalent strategic exposure
