- • You will be instrumental in delivering robust infrastructure automation solutions, leveraging powerful AI tools such as AWS Systems Manager, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Python. Your contributions will directly lead to significant improvements in incident response times, streamline patch management processes, and automate routine operational tasks, freeing up valuable resources and enhancing system reliability.
- • A core aspect of this position involves supporting and maintaining sophisticated CI/CD pipelines, primarily utilizing Jenkins. This includes ensuring the smooth operation, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to facilitate faster and more reliable software deployments.
- • You will also play a key role in enhancing our configuration management capabilities using Ansible. This involves developing and maintaining infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across our cloud environments.
- • Furthermore, this role requires active participation in managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications. Your efforts will ensure that our containerized workloads are deployed, managed, and scaled efficiently, maintaining high availability and performance.
- • Key responsibilities will encompass monitoring and maintaining the operational health of hosted services. This will be achieved through proactive alerting mechanisms and comprehensive dashboarding, utilizing tools like Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Lambda, and other native AWS services to provide real-time insights into system performance and availability.
- • You will be tasked with developing and implementing automation scripts and workflows using both PowerShell and Python. The goal is to significantly reduce manual intervention, minimize human error, and enhance the consistency and repeatability of cloud operations.
- • Supporting infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools such as AWS Systems Manager, Ansible, and Terraform is crucial. This will enable the creation and maintenance of scalable, secure, and compliant environments that can adapt to evolving business needs.
- • A significant part of the role involves deep engagement with database server systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later). This includes comprehensive database management, focusing on performance monitoring and improvement, robust disaster recovery strategies, and the development of automated processes for database maintenance and operations, such as utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services packages.
- • You will be expected to detect and resolve complex issues related to CPU utilization, memory consumption, I/O performance, and disk space, which inherently requires strong operating system (OS) knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- • Practical experience in troubleshooting performance problems, including query tuning and optimization for databases, will be essential for maintaining optimal system performance.
- • You will be responsible for managing incoming work requests, incidents, and tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution according to established service level agreements (SLAs).
- • Flexibility to work in shifts, including a 24/7 operational environment, and provide on-call support during out-of-office hours is a requirement for this position, ensuring continuous service availability.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to continually improve and automate all processes, from database installation and maintenance to backup, restore, and monitoring procedures.
- • You will also contribute to basic networking, firewall management, SMTP, and latency troubleshooting, providing a holistic approach to system stability.
- • Excellent communication, reasoning, teamwork, and soft skills are paramount for effective collaboration within the team and across departments.
- • A logical and analytical mindset, coupled with strong problem-solving skills, will be key to addressing the challenges inherent in managing complex information systems.
- • Familiarity with Active Directory and VMware/virtualization technologies is beneficial.
- • Working knowledge of ticketing tools such as Salesforce or ServiceNow is expected for efficient incident and request management.
