- • Sr AI/ML Engineer (LATAM Remote) at Up Labs Inc. is a pivotal role focused on building applied AI systems that transform early-stage venture concepts into real, working products. You will help design and deploy machine learning solutions across computer vision, LLM-powered workflows, and intelligent automation, directly contributing to the creation of high-growth technology startups in partnership with leading corporations and entrepreneurs.
- • Day to day, you will design, train, evaluate, and deploy ML models for real-world applications; build and improve computer vision pipelines for object detection and image understanding; develop LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, and retrieval systems; work with diverse data types including image, structured, and unstructured documents; translate ambiguous business problems into practical AI solutions; construct data pipelines and production-ready AI systems; evaluate model performance and reliability; and collaborate across product, engineering, venture, and stakeholder teams to validate concepts and ship working products in a fast-moving, autonomous environment.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in applied AI/ML systems, gain end-to-end ownership of ML lifecycle processes from concept to production, strengthen your ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments, enhance collaboration across technical and non-technical teams, and contribute directly to building venture-backed startups — positioning you as a key technical leader in early-stage innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong Python engineering skills and experience building production-oriented AI/ML systems
- • Hands-on experience with machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, training workflows, and data processing pipelines
- • Experience building or deploying computer vision systems such as image detection, classification, object recognition, or related workflows
- • Experience working with modern LLMs, Generative AI tools, and AI-assisted development workflows
- • Experience deploying AI/ML systems into production environments, including inference services, monitoring, evaluation, and deployment workflows
- • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
