- • Sr. Analysts at TransUnion LLC collect and analyze data from multiple sources to diagnose client business needs, working closely with Data Scientists, Consultants, and external stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing analytics solutions for marketing effectiveness, ROI, brand equity, segmentation, pricing, and environmental factors; building and validating multi-touch attribution (MTA) and marketing mix models (MMM) using statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques; analyzing big data sets related to media, market conditions, and web navigation; and compiling results into reports on forecasting, simulation, and optimization.
- • The role is part of a collaborative team based in Chicago (HQ) with remote work flexibility across the U.S., partnering with Senior Data Scientists and associates to ensure model quality, validate methodologies, and uphold analytical and technical best practices.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in advanced analytics, including Bayesian statistics, causal inference, feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, and cloud-based big data querying (Google BigQuery), while contributing to high-impact business decisions and gaining experience in end-to-end model development and deployment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience also acceptable).
- • Proficiency in quantitative analytics, multivariate regression, time-series modeling, Bayesian statistics, segmentation modeling, machine learning, data mining, simulation, optimization, forecasting, SQL, R, Python, experimental design, causal inference, hypothesis testing, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, dimensionality reduction (e.g., PCA), model validation, data visualization, cloud computing and big data querying (Google BigQuery), probabilistic inference, pipeline automation, regularization methods (ridge, lasso), model tuning and evaluation, and statistical reporting.
- • Experience working with Senior Data Scientists and Consultants to implement analytics solutions, validate model results, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
