- • You will be instrumental in building a secure, efficient, and user-friendly platform designed specifically for therapists to manage and document session notes. - • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust backend services and APIs using Node.js. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform, which will handle sensitive patient data.
- • Collaborate closely with a talented team of designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to translate complex requirements and Figma designs into high-quality, functional software. You will actively participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- • Implement and maintain best practices in software development, including clean code principles, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - • Design and develop efficient database schemas and queries, likely leveraging PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, to support the platform's data storage and retrieval needs. Ensure data integrity and optimize performance for large datasets.
- • Build and manage microservices architecture, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between different components of the platform. Focus on creating loosely coupled services that are independently deployable and scalable.
- • Develop and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive patient health information (PHI) in compliance with relevant regulations such as HIPAA. This includes data encryption, access control, and secure API design.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in maintaining the platform's stability and performance.
- • Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategic planning for the platform, providing insights and recommendations based on your experience and understanding of emerging technologies.
- • Mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster their growth and development within the team. You will be a technical leader, guiding and inspiring others.
- • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Node.js, cloud computing (AWS/GCP/Azure), and the broader backend development landscape. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities and efficiency.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on Node.js development.
- • Expertise in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- • Solid understanding of database design and management, preferably with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- • Familiarity with microservices architecture and best practices.
- • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
