- • The Sr. Commercial Title Examiner in the Energy Division plays a critical role in supporting First American’s commercial real estate operations by conducting detailed title searches and examinations for complex commercial transactions, including multi-site and high-liability properties, ensuring accurate legal ownership and restriction verification.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include searching and examining chains of title for commercial land, abstracting and analyzing legal records such as leases, liens, easements, and judgments, interpreting procedural guidelines to write title products, providing underwriting interpretations, and coordinating resolution of title issues to support timely transaction completion.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in commercial title examination, gain exposure to energy-sector real estate transactions (with wind and solar experience as a plus), develop advanced analytical and documentation skills, and contribute to high-stakes transactions while working remotely with a collaborative, supportive team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of directly related Commercial Title experience in Texas, Iowa, Colorado, or Pennsylvania
- • Knowledge of legal terms used in title documents and ability to read and decipher legal descriptions
- • Proficiency with MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies
- • High School Diploma or equivalent
- • Multiple state licenses (as required by state) to operate across a broad geographic area
- • Wind and Solar experience is a plus
