- • As a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor, you will be instrumental in forging trusted partnerships with Optiv’s strategic clients, leveraging a unique blend of sales acumen and extensive security practitioner expertise.
- • You will be responsible for designing robust security solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients within the Greater Las Vegas area, operating in a hybrid capacity in Nevada or Northern California.
- • Your role involves deeply understanding each client's security initiatives, business operations, risk appetite, and overall security posture to align Optiv’s advanced security services and technologies effectively.
- • You will collaborate closely with a dedicated sales team, acting as a primary advisor and solution designer for highly defensible and scalable security programs.
- • A key aspect of this role is to translate complex technical security concepts into pragmatic, actionable solutions that address each client’s unique environment and challenges.
- • You will serve as a consistent source of security expertise for both clients and internal sales teams, actively participating in all sales opportunities across Optiv's comprehensive portfolio.
- • By partnering with domain specialists and subject matter experts, you will drive thought leadership and inspire the adoption of innovative cybersecurity solutions, powered by Optiv’s integrated ecosystem of people, products, and partners.
- • A significant responsibility will be to drive the generation of services and technologies business, working diligently to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota objectives in close partnership with account and domain teams.
- • You will adhere to Optiv’s Standardized Sales Operating Processes (SOPs) to ensure consistent success and effective client engagement.
- • You will proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your client base and leverage Optiv's extensive partner relationships.
- • Qualifying leads and partnering with internal colleagues to manage proposals, scope projects, and ensure successful closure of opportunities will be a core function.
- • You will clearly articulate the value proposition of Optiv’s technology and services portfolio, demonstrating how it directly addresses the specific needs of client stakeholders, particularly at the leadership level.
- • Staying at the forefront of industry trends, news, and the evolving security landscape is crucial for facilitating thought leadership, providing support, conducting analysis, and offering guidance to clients and internal Optiv groups.
- • You will collaborate effectively with the service delivery teams to ensure they are equipped with the necessary supporting domain specialty materials, presenting a unified and comprehensive approach to clients.
- • You will engage with diverse client personas across security teams and other relevant departments to develop strategic security roadmaps that align with business goals, budgetary constraints, and measurable return on investment.
- • Maintaining strong advisory relationships with key client stakeholders through consistent thought leadership, support, information sharing, and guidance, in conjunction with sales partners, is paramount.
- • You will cultivate and maintain robust working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners, strategically aligning with client spending patterns and Optiv’s focus areas.
- • This role requires a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently without constant day-to-day management, demonstrating initiative and proactivity.

- • A thorough understanding of the current threat landscape, common vulnerabilities, and effective defensive controls is essential for providing expert advice.

- • Exceptional presentation, written, and oral communication skills are required, including proficiency in whiteboard sessions and other presentation mechanisms for conveying complex information to clients.
- • A keen attention to detail is necessary for meticulously reviewing statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
- • Continuous learning and expansion of expertise across various security domains within the broader portfolio are expected to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
- • The ability to work effectively both in-person and remotely with distributed teams in a decentralized environment is a key requirement.
- • You will be expected to travel within your assigned region, including Las Vegas, Utah, and San Francisco, or to assigned accounts, approximately 25% of the time.
