- • Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to Optiv clients by designing pragmatic, scalable security solutions aligned with client objectives and risk appetite.
- • Drive revenue growth by generating services and technology business to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota targets in partnership with account and domain teams, following Optiv’s Standardized Sales Operating Processes (SOPs).
- • Maintain deep knowledge of client security environments, business operations, and evolving threats to identify alignment opportunities with Optiv’s strategic security solutions.
- • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Optiv’s full portfolio of services and technologies, qualifying leads and collaborating internally to scope proposals and close deals.
- • Articulate the value of Optiv’s technology and services portfolio to senior client leadership, translating technical capabilities into business outcomes and ROI-driven security strategies.
- • Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure consistent, comprehensive client experiences and alignment between sales commitments and operational execution.
- • Engage with multiple client personas—including security leadership, executives, and IT teams—to develop security roadmaps that integrate business goals, budget constraints, and performance metrics.
- • Build and maintain advisory relationships with key client stakeholders through thought leadership, ongoing guidance, and proactive communication.
- • Partner with Optiv technology vendors based on client spend and strategic focus to leverage vendor-specific capabilities and certifications in client engagements.
- • Lead end-to-end security program initiatives including requirements gathering, technology selection, demonstration coordination, and evaluation of security solutions.
- • Interface with internal Optiv teams to align client expectations with the full portfolio of offerings, ensuring service delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
- • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and threat landscapes to inform client advice and internal enablement efforts.
- • Promote Optiv’s brand and security expertise through speaking engagements, partner events, and social media to build a trusted advisor reputation within the cyber community.
- • Collect and relay client feedback to internal teams to drive continuous improvement of Optiv’s offerings and processes.
- • Participate in account planning, pipeline management, and forecasting activities to support sales strategy and revenue targets.
- • Manage and prioritize the proposal process, including drafting statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and responses to RFI/RFPs with high attention to detail.
- • Pursue ongoing professional development through formal education, certifications, and training to maintain and expand technical and soft skills in cybersecurity.
- • Apply advanced sales techniques including probing questions, objection handling, trust-building, solution positioning, and closing negotiations under pressure.
- • Travel up to 40% to meet with clients, attend events, and support sales initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of eight (8) years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer
- • BS/BA or equivalent and applicable work experience
- • Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls
- • Strong business and technical acumen with ability to lead technology-focused discussions
- • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including whiteboard sessions and executive-level presentations
- • Vendor-specific certification(s) focused primarily on specialty
