📋 Description
- • As a Sr Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer at Up Labs Inc., you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling mobility-focused startups by transforming complex data into actionable intelligence and intelligent systems that power next-generation ventures. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, product innovation, and the technical foundation of early-stage companies within the UP.Labs portfolio.
- • Day to day, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data science solutions to solve complex business problems across the venture portfolio; build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure using Python and Azure cloud services; implement generative AI solutions and integrate large language models into products to enhance user experiences and automate workflows; collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data science solutions; conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation to ensure high-quality, production-ready solutions; and stay current with emerging ML/AI techniques to continuously improve model performance and system robustness.
- • You will join a dynamic venture studio team dedicated to launching high-growth technology startups that enable faster, cleaner, and safer movement of people and goods. UP.Labs partners with corporate investors over multi-year periods to build and scale mobility-focused ventures, providing the ideal environment for impactful, innovative work at the intersection of data science, AI, and real-world mobility challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in end-to-end ML lifecycle management, gain hands-on experience with generative AI and LLM integration in production systems, and contribute to ventures that have the potential to scale into market-leading companies. You’ll also sharpen your ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders and operate effectively in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong expertise in data science and machine learning methodologies, with demonstrated ability to build and deploy models in production environments
- • Advanced proficiency in Python programming for data analysis, machine learning, and automation
- • Solid experience with generative AI technologies and frameworks, including prompt engineering and LLM integration
- • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform for deploying and scaling data science solutions
- • Experience with modern data science libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools
- • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, time series analysis, experimental design, and data visualization techniques
