📋 Description

• As a Sr. Director Analyst in Gartner’s Technical Professionals practice, you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise leaders navigating the complex intersection of AI integration, API management, and orchestration. Your expertise will directly influence how organizations design, implement, and scale AI-driven architectures by translating technical depth into market-relevant, actionable insights that cut through vendor hype and deliver objective guidance.
• You will conduct rigorous research and analysis on AI integration strategies, API management platforms, and AI orchestration frameworks, focusing on real-world implementation challenges in hybrid, multi-cloud, and enterprise environments. This includes evaluating vendor solutions, identifying best practices, and assessing the impact of emerging technologies on scalability, security, and governance.
• You will author high-impact research notes, market guides, and best practice documents that help clients navigate the complexities of integrating AI into existing ecosystems, including API-driven architectures, AI/ML pipeline interfaces, and event-driven systems. Your writing will synthesize technical depth with strategic business implications for CTOs, architects, and integration leaders.
• You will advise clients — including enterprise architects, integration leads, and technology decision-makers — on vendor selection, technology adoption, and implementation roadmaps, leveraging your hands-on experience to provide pragmatic, evidence-based recommendations that address real-world constraints and opportunities.
• You will deliver compelling presentations, webinars, and client engagements that demystify AI integration trends, challenge industry narratives, and provide clear, actionable roadmaps grounded in data and market observation, positioning Gartner as a trusted source of objective insight.
• You will continuously monitor and analyze market dynamics, vendor roadmaps, open-source innovations, and emerging standards in AI integration, API gateways, and orchestration tools, ensuring Gartner’s research remains timely, relevant, and ahead of inflection points in technology adoption.
• You will collaborate across Gartner’s global analyst network to develop cross-domain perspectives on AI integration, particularly as it intersects with security, data governance, cloud-native architectures, and AI ethics, enriching the depth and breadth of our research offerings.
• You will maintain a relentless curiosity about emerging AI technologies, actively engaging with new platforms, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure your analysis evolves with the market — adapting research focus and recommendations in response to technological shifts and client feedback.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in integration, API management, and AI orchestration within enterprise environments, including designing, implementing, and managing API-driven architectures and AI interfaces.
• Demonstrated expertise in evaluating market-leading vendors, open-source solutions, and emerging players in the API, integration, and AI space, with deep familiarity of current technologies and evolving standards.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in both written research (e.g., research notes, market guides) and verbal client interactions (e.g., presentations, webinars, advisory sessions).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize technical trends, market data, and client feedback into actionable, objective guidance that supports strategic decision-making.
