📋 Description

• Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged "must-have insights" content focused on CFOs and the future of finance functions through 2030 and beyond.
• Develop new insights and actionable approaches to client needs by leveraging thought leadership and deep industry expertise.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to drive strategic change in finance operations.
• Establish and lead Insights positions across a team of analysts, setting the direction for research agendas and client guidance.
• Bring independent, provocative insights to Gartner leadership that challenge conventional wisdom and evolve the research agenda.
• Research, analyze, and predict global market trends and technological shifts to deliver actionable advice to clients and vendors.
• Provide clients and prospects with tailored, actionable recommendations through virtual and in-person interactions, including sales support visits and client briefings.
• Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner conferences, industry events, professional associations, and client engagements.
• Support Business and Technology Insights (BTI) and Sales teams by serving as the voice of the market to align content creation with client priorities.
• Conduct high-quality, timely peer reviews of research content to ensure rigor, clarity, and client relevance.
• Build and maintain credibility as a recognized industry expert representing Gartner’s methodology, strategy, and insights globally.
• Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with peers across the global Insights community.
• Identify and implement improvements to research processes that enhance team efficiency and service delivery quality.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts to develop their analytical, writing, and client engagement capabilities.
• Maintain a client-centric approach by encouraging regular and meaningful engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Demonstrate executive presence and establish immediate credibility with CFOs and other senior enterprise stakeholders.
• Communicate complex financial and technological concepts clearly and concisely through strong written and verbal skills.
• Synthesize data using analytical frameworks to draw and defend conclusions that address client challenges.
• Present confidently at large-scale and small-scale speaking engagements, including industry conferences and internal forums.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the global competitive landscape in finance technology and AI-driven transformation.
• Work independently with high self-motivation while collaborating effectively within a multicultural, matrixed global team.
• Navigate highly complex, matrixed organizational environments with agility and adaptability.
• Represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategic positioning accurately at all levels of client and internal engagement.
• Travel up to 25% when applicable to support client engagements and conference appearances.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience working in a finance function, with at least 2+ years of recent AI experience
• Career exposure in strategic finance or special projects with the CFO that span finance processes, data sources, and technologies
• Provocative and forward-looking perspectives on how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping finance functions and their enterprise role
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate ambiguity into clear, actionable narratives that drive CFO decision-making
• Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with C-suite and senior stakeholders
• Strong research, writing, and presentation skills with proficiency in synthesizing data and applying frameworks to client challenges
