• • As a Senior Director Analyst within Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, you will embody the role of an industry thought leader, crafting essential insights, market predictions, and best practices that empower world-leading organizations. This is a pivotal individual contributor role, focused on deep analysis and strategic guidance rather than direct team management.
• • You will establish yourself as a credible and authoritative voice within the Human Resources Practice, addressing local, regional, and global markets. Your exceptional research and analytical acumen will be instrumental in producing pragmatic, provocative, and highly actionable insights that clients can directly apply to achieve their key business objectives.
• • Your primary function will be to serve as a trusted advisor to Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) and other C-suite executives, reinforcing Gartner’s value proposition daily. This involves engaging clients through various channels, including in-person and virtual meetings, sales support visits, and Gartner conferences, to dissect complex client challenges and provide tailored, strategic recommendations.
• • A core responsibility is to create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged insight offerings. These will be delivered in multiple formats—written reports, videos, infographics, podcasts—addressing critical topics for CHROs. These topics may encompass enterprise transformation strategies, particularly in the context of significant corporate inflection points such as Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity (PE) ownership and change of control, large-scale enterprise reorganizations, workforce reductions (RIFs), and crisis management scenarios.
• • You will provide individualized advice, meticulously grounded in both quantitative and qualitative data, specifically tailored to the unique role and responsibilities of a CHRO within their enterprise.
• • Staying ahead of the curve in an AI-driven economy is paramount. This involves continuously tracking and analyzing vendor landscapes, market trends, and emerging technologies and practices relevant to HR and enterprise strategy.
• • Your content creation will focus on developing novel insights and ideas through robust thought leadership, offering compelling and actionable approaches to address client needs and requests, thereby accelerating their ability to implement strategic changes.
• • You will conduct in-depth analyses to pinpoint the root causes of client barriers or overarching needs, reframing challenges to drive strategic forward momentum and decision-making.
• • A key aspect of the role is demonstrating thought leadership by establishing and championing insight positions across a broader team of analysts, fostering a cohesive and impactful research agenda.
• • You are expected to bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leadership that can significantly influence and evolve the direction of research agendas, ensuring Gartner remains at the forefront of industry analysis.
• • Your role involves rigorous research, analysis, and prediction of market trends and shifts to equip clients and vendors with foresight and actionable intelligence.
• • You will directly engage with clients and prospects, delivering high-value, actionable advice aligned with your designated content area through both virtual and face-to-face interactions.
• • Crafting and delivering compelling presentation materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, professional association meetings, and client briefings, both on and off stage, is a critical function.
• • You will actively support the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) and Sales teams by serving as the voice of the market. This involves collaborating with Insights teams to shape content and driving client engagement to help clients progress against their critical priorities and achieve business growth.
• • Providing high-quality and timely peer review for content produced by colleagues is essential for maintaining research integrity and quality.
• • Building and maintaining credibility as a recognized industry expert is crucial for effectively representing Gartner’s insights, methodology, and strategic direction.
• • Active participation in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, coupled with effective collaboration with peers across the Insights community, will be vital for collective success.
• • You will be instrumental in identifying research process improvements and developing new methodologies to enhance team efficiency and BTI’s service delivery excellence.
