- • Zapier is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Sr. Director of Engineering to spearhead its Applied AI initiatives, specifically leading the AI Orchestration engineering organization. This pivotal role is designed for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning to solve real-world problems and deliver impactful, customer-facing products. You will be instrumental in driving Zapier's mission to make automation accessible to everyone, empowering individuals and businesses to achieve greater efficiency and productivity through intelligent solutions. This position reports directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), Chee Chew, and will involve close collaboration with the Director of Product - AI, ensuring a unified approach to AI strategy and execution.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering squads dedicated to innovating and delivering sophisticated AI solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass leading AI engineering execution across the entire build organization. This includes prototyping and pushing the boundaries of applied AI by experimenting with new models, tools, and approaches to develop production-ready AI features that significantly enhance Zapier's automation capabilities. You will also be tasked with building and mentoring a world-class engineering organization, focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent.
