📋 Description

• Sr Engineer - BizApps at 8x8, Inc. is a senior technical role focused on building scalable, customer- and partner-facing systems using modern frontend and backend technologies, with strong emphasis on AI-augmented development and Salesforce integration.
• Day to day, the engineer will design and deliver production-grade UIs in React or Angular using Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures, build and extend backend services in Java, Python, or Node, own end-to-end API integrations across Salesforce and ERP systems, and apply AI tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate development, debugging, and architectural decisions.
• 8x8 connects customers and teams globally, empowering CX leaders with performance insights to drive business impact; the BizApps team builds critical systems like quote-to-cash flows, self-service portals, and order management UIs that customers and partners rely on daily.
• In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in full-stack delivery, AI-assisted engineering, and enterprise integration patterns, while mentoring peers, owning outcomes end-to-end, and shaping scalable, reliable systems that reduce manual intervention and improve customer journeys.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong fundamentals in OOP, data modeling, APIs, debugging, and system design
• Production frontend experience in React or Angular — real apps that shipped and scaled
• Experience with Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures — module federation, independently deployable components, or equivalent
• Ability to build, read, debug, and extend backend services in Java, Python, Node, or equivalent
• Experience building and maintaining system integrations via REST/SOAP APIs
• Solid Salesforce exposure — enough to own Apex, LWC, and platform configuration without hand-holding
• Measurably faster and better because of AI — daily use of Claude and Cursor AI, not occasional experiments
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery in Jira
