- • As a Sr. Engineering Manager in the Engineering Shared Infrastructure Services (ESSI) team, you will lead and mentor engineers responsible for cloud and data center infrastructure supporting F5’s global Engineering Labs, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure that enables innovation across the organization.
- • Day to day, you will act as a coach and advisor to direct reports, performance manage engineers to maximize their potential, source and hire talent, conduct evaluations, align teams with corporate strategy, recommend policy improvements, evaluate emerging technologies, collaborate with partner teams across geographies (US and Hyderabad), and represent the Engineering Lab Infrastructure Services (ELIS) team in Hyderabad while modeling F5’s core behaviors.
- • The ESSI team is a critical infrastructure team supporting F5’s internal Engineering Labs worldwide, enabling the development, testing, and delivery of application services that help global organizations run secure, high-performance applications. - • In this role, you will develop leadership expertise in managing distributed technical teams, deepen your knowledge of hybrid cloud and data center technologies, drive process improvements in DevOps and SRE practices, and grow your ability to mentor engineers while contributing to F5’s mission of building a better digital world through secure, scalable infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field
- • 13+ years of experience in software infrastructure management
- • 5+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams
- • In-depth knowledge of on-prem and public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- • Deep understanding of L2/L3 networking, routing protocols, and high availability systems
- • Experience with virtualization platforms (OpenStack, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and networking hardware (Arista EOS, Juniper JunOS, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Dell Networking OS)
- • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Perl)
- • Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and systems engineering
- • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and storage technologies
- • Demonstrated ability to guide, coach, mentor, and develop direct reports
- • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written communication skills
