- • Architect and ship core mobile commerce products that are durable, fast, and clean, working across frontend, backend, and database layers to deliver measurable impact.
- • Design and implement proactive AI agent orchestration layers used by thousands of high-growth Shopify brands to enhance shopper experiences and drive revenue.
- • Prototype and iterate on novel human-agent interaction patterns that redefine mobile commerce workflows.
- • Dogfood Tapcart’s platform and apps daily to deeply understand merchant needs and surface product improvements.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of features from prototype to production, collaborating directly with the CEO, product, and design teams.
- • Maintain and elevate engineering standards by reviewing code, mentoring peers, and holding the line on code quality and performance.
- • Work side-by-side with merchants to gather feedback, validate assumptions, and ship iterative improvements rapidly.
- • Build software that reaches hundreds of millions of shoppers worldwide, with direct impact on $15B+ in annual revenue processed through the platform.
- • Contribute to recruiting efforts by evaluating technical candidates and helping shape engineering culture.
- • Use Tapcart’s own platform daily as a primary tool, ensuring all engineering decisions are grounded in real-world merchant usage.
- • Prioritize craftsmanship in software development, with a demonstrated ability to articulate and champion high-quality, inspiring code.
- • Leverage AI agents daily in personal and professional workflows, and bring active enthusiasm for AI-driven product innovation.
- • Operate with high autonomy in a lean team structure where minimal management enables direct ownership of outcomes.
- • Ship constantly in a fast-paced environment where code is core to every role — engineering, product, and leadership alike.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of engineering and product work
- • Demonstrated skills across frontend, backend, and database layers
- • A Github that is more green than black
- • Deep daily use of AI agents and strong passion for AI-driven product innovation
- • Ability to articulate software that inspires and a commitment to engineering craft
- • Experience working in high-growth, customer-facing SaaS or e-commerce platforms
