📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver high-impact, containerized REST APIs using NodeJS, Java, and .NET Core WebAPI that power First Advantage’s mission-critical background-screening platform serving Fortune 100 and Global 500 clients. You will own the full SDLC—from whiteboard design to production monitoring—ensuring 99.9 % uptime and sub-second response times for millions of daily transactions.
• • Champion modern frontend excellence by building and refining responsive, accessible UIs in React (preferred) or Angular. You’ll translate complex product requirements into pixel-perfect, performant screens that delight HR professionals and candidates alike, while maintaining WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and mobile-first design principles.
• • Drive continuous quality through rigorous automated testing: author unit and integration tests with XUnit, NUnit, RhinoMocks, or MOQ; craft UI automation suites with TestCafe or similar; and enforce 80 %+ code coverage gates in CI pipelines. Your test harnesses will become the gold standard for the broader engineering org.
• • Collaborate daily in an Agile Scrum squad alongside product owners, UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps. You’ll refine user stories, estimate effort, and propose innovative technical designs that balance speed, scalability, and security. Expect to demo working software every two weeks to stakeholders across the globe.
• • Establish and evangelize SOLID design, dependency injection, and micro-service patterns that keep our codebase clean, loosely coupled, and ready for horizontal scale. You’ll conduct architecture reviews, pair-program with junior engineers, and author internal RFCs that shape the future of our platform.
• • Optimize cloud-native deployments on AWS or Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK), container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or AKS), and blue-green or canary release strategies. You’ll monitor cost, latency, and error budgets in Datadog or CloudWatch, and respond to incidents with blameless post-mortems.
• • Integrate with a polyglot persistence layer spanning MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, and Redis. You’ll design normalized schemas, tune complex queries, and implement caching strategies that reduce database load by 40 % while guaranteeing ACID compliance for sensitive candidate data.
• • Contribute to DevOps culture by authoring GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines that automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment. You’ll embed secrets management, SAST/DAST, and OWASP Top 10 controls into every pull request, ensuring SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
• • Mentor and level-up a distributed team of engineers across US time zones. You’ll run lunch-and-learns on advanced TypeScript patterns, conduct empathetic code reviews, and champion inclusive hiring practices that expand First Advantage’s diverse, global workforce.
• • Influence product strategy by translating customer feedback into technical roadmaps. You’ll prototype new features in two-week spikes, validate them with A/B experiments, and iterate based on data, ultimately driving double-digit improvements in customer NPS and platform adoption.
• • Maintain obsessive attention to security and privacy. You’ll implement field-level encryption, PII tokenization, and GDPR/CCPA workflows that protect candidate data, while partnering with Legal & Compliance to stay ahead of ever-evolving global regulations.
• • Stay curious and future-proof our stack by evaluating emerging technologies—whether it’s serverless, GraphQL, edge computing, or AI-driven background-check orchestration—and present findings to the Architecture Guild, ensuring First Advantage remains the industry’s innovation leader.
