- • The Sr. Global Product Manager, Gene & Protein Lab Essentials at GenScript Biotech Corporation is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the global product portfolio that supports biologics discovery, directly enabling scientists worldwide to accelerate therapeutic development through innovative equipment and reagents.
- • This role is critical to GenScript’s mission of becoming the most reliable biotech company in the world, as it translates deep customer insights into commercially viable, scalable products that power drug discovery workflows across academia, pharma, and biotech.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading end-to-end new product introduction (NPI) programs from concept through global launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and internal capabilities.
- • The role drives Voice-of-Customer (VoC) initiatives and conducts rigorous market research to uncover unmet needs in gene-to-protein workflows, defining product requirements and differentiation strategies that resonate with global researchers.
- • Owns full product lifecycle management, including P&L accountability, portfolio performance analysis, roadmap development, pricing strategy, and margin optimization to ensure sustainable profitability and market competitiveness.
- • Partners closely with R&D and Production teams to co-develop new capabilities, troubleshoot technical challenges, and continuously improve existing products based on real-world feedback and evolving market demands.
- • Collaborates with Marketing to craft compelling go-to-market (GTM) strategies, develop sales enablement tools, and produce high-impact collateral that educates and converts target audiences.
- • Empowers global commercial teams through product training, sales tools, and ongoing on-market support to drive adoption, increase market penetration, and achieve revenue targets.
- • Requires periodic travel to GenScript’s global manufacturing and R&D sites—especially early in the role—to gain firsthand understanding of production processes, quality systems, and operational constraints that inform product design and scalability.
- • Works within a dynamic, innovation-driven culture at a globally recognized biotech leader with operations spanning North America, Europe, Greater China, and Asia Pacific, offering exposure to diverse markets and cross-functional collaboration.
- • Offers significant opportunity to grow expertise in strategic product management within the life sciences sector, build executive-level influence, and contribute directly to advancing global health through biotechnology innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences or a related discipline is required.
- • 5-7 years of proven experience in Product Management roles within the life sciences industry, with strong preference for experience in drug discovery, antibody discovery, or pharmaceutical R&D environments (Pharma, Biotech, or CRO).
- • Demonstrated track record leading successful new product introduction (NPI) projects and developing compelling business cases that drive commercial success.
