- • The Sr. Learning & Design Professional role is a SkillBridge Internship or Military Spouse Fellowship opportunity at Humana Inc., designed to support transitioning service members and military spouses in gaining meaningful civilian work experience while contributing to a healthcare organization committed to improving member health outcomes.
- • Day to day, the intern will plan, organize, and collaborate on developing training curriculum, materials, and job performance aids; analyze content and design solutions using instructional design and adult learning theory; facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions; assess learning effectiveness through satisfaction, proficiency, and job performance metrics; and partner with subject matter experts to align training with organizational needs.
- • The role sits within Humana’s learning delivery team, collaborating with healthcare professionals, HR, and IT teams to support member care through effective training programs that tie into compliance and quality measures.
- • The intern will gain hands-on experience in instructional design, curriculum development, training facilitation, learning analytics, and project coordination while building proficiency in office tools, training platforms, and adult learning methodologies—preparing them for civilian careers in learning and development, training, or organizational design.
🎯 Requirements
- • Transitioning Service Member eligible for DoW SkillBridge or Military Spouse eligible for Military Spouse Fellowship Career Accelerator Program
- • Associate’s degree in any field
- • Minimum one year of training, learning development, or facilitation experience
- • One year of administrative experience involving documentation creation and editing (e.g., training materials, SOPs, process flows, job aids)
- • Experience using data analytics reporting
- • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in all office products
- • Minimum intermediate/advanced typing and navigation skills across multiple systems and platforms
- • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
