- • The Sr Payor Policy Analyst-Xifin role is critical to ensuring accurate billing, compliance, and reimbursement strategies for Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (Labcorp), a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development. This remote position supports the company’s mission to improve health outcomes by managing payer policy impacts on revenue and serving as a key liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the Xifin billing system for coding accuracy, tracking and analyzing payer policy changes (such as NCD, LCD, and CPT updates), maintaining compliance documentation and SOPs, supporting prior authorization and patient cost estimator tools, and collaborating with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Medical Directors, and external partners like ACLA and government agencies to influence policy and defend against reimbursement risks.
- • The role sits within Labcorp’s Payer and Policy Relations team, working closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Segment Science, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to align billing operations with evolving healthcare regulations and payer directives across government and commercial sectors.
- • The analyst will develop deep expertise in healthcare reimbursement, regulatory policy, and medical billing systems, gaining influence in shaping corporate policy positions, contributing to regulatory comments and testimony, and building strategic relationships with Medicare contractors, Medicaid agencies, and commercial insurers—positioning them for advancement in healthcare policy, revenue cycle, or medical affairs roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of payer or medical billing experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7+ years with an Associate’s degree
- • 3+ months of hands-on experience with the Xifin billing system
- • 1+ year of experience in maintaining diagnostics billing systems
- • 2+ years of experience in payer-directed CPT coding within diagnostics
- • Prior experience with insurance guidelines, state and federal agencies, and healthcare revenue cycle processes (prior authorization, claims, denials, appeals, billing compliance)
