đź“‹ Description
- • As a Sr Platform Engineer at PointClickCare Technologies Inc., you will join a close-knit team of five highly senior engineers focused on solving complex self-service challenges in the developer platform space, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, AI-powered tooling, and internal developer portals, to enable faster, more secure, and reliable application deployment across the organization.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include platform development and engineering, platform operations and reliability, platform adoption and developer enablement, technical leadership and standards, and system design and architecture, with a focus on building golden paths, reducing cognitive load for product teams, and ensuring reliability through SRE practices.
- • You will work within the Platform Engineering team, which acts as the "glue" that integrates disparate systems into a cohesive platform, owning the reliability of what is built while empowering product engineering teams to deliver healthcare software faster and more securely to clinicians and patients.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact, meaningful problems alongside exceptional engineers, influence platform strategy through technical leadership, contribute to open-source or thought leadership, and grow your expertise in cutting-edge areas like AI/ML integration, policy-as-code, and cloud cost optimization in a company that reinvests heavily in R&D and values innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong proficiency with Kubernetes across the full cluster stack — operating complex environments, extending platform capabilities, and maintaining reliability at scale
- • Expert-level proficiency building and operating CI/CD pipelines optimized for security, compliance, and developer experience
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for building production-grade platform services, APIs, CLIs, and SDKs, with strong automated testing practices (unit, integration, E2E)
- • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps practices
- • Strong proficiency with observability (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLI/SLO frameworks, error budgets) and proven operational ownership including on-call incident response and post-mortems
- • Working proficiency with cloud security practices (IAM, secret handling, encryption) and cloud networking (virtual network design, routing, firewall controls) in a production environment
- • Strong communication, influence, and documentation skills — able to translate technical complexity for engineers and non-engineers alike, and produce ADRs, runbooks, and developer-facing documentation
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact problems that directly improve healthcare delivery for millions of patients
- • Access to significant R&D investment and resources to innovate, including experimentation with AI/ML integration and internal developer platforms
- • Recognition as part of a company honored as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures and recognized by Forbes as a top private cloud company
- • Flexibility through hybrid work model with focus on meaningful in-office collaboration
- • Professional growth through exposure to cutting-edge technologies and opportunities for thought leadership via open-source contributions, blogging, or speaking
