📋 Description

• • Design, create, and support non-production and production-like environments using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps principles to ensure reliability and consistency across R&D platforms.
• • Reduce operational backlog and eliminate toil by automating manual environment provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows using tooling, templates, and standardized approaches.
• • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, configuration, and deployment issues across complex environments backed by AWS EC2, Kubernetes, and Argo CD.
• • Modernize legacy Terraform codebases by decoupling infrastructure provisioning from embedded application configuration to improve modularity, reusability, and safety.
• • Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters using Helm for environment-specific configuration management and version-controlled values.
• • Operate and enhance Argo CD-based GitOps workflows to ensure sync integrity, detect configuration drift, and maintain desired state across environments.
• • Improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to reduce environment-specific drift and increase determinism and repeatability of environment creation.
• • Build and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive operational tasks and reduce dependency on manual interventions.
• • Participate in an on-call rotation using PagerDuty to respond to critical environment outages, deployment failures, and infrastructure incidents.
• • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to standardize environment creation processes and improve the speed, reliability, and consistency of software delivery.
• • Identify patterns in recurring environment requests and implement platform-level solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• • Contribute to the evolution of the R&D platform by integrating CNCF projects and adopting modern infrastructure abstraction techniques.
• • Maintain strong Linux system fundamentals to diagnose and resolve low-level system and container runtime issues.
• • Ensure all infrastructure-as-code changes adhere to strict attention to detail, version control practices, and change management protocols.
• • Prioritize and manage concurrent environment requests from multiple engineering teams while balancing operational stability with innovation velocity.
• • Support the transition from legacy infrastructure models to scalable, self-service platforms aligned with DevOps best practices.
• • Document environment standards, automation workflows, and operational procedures to enable knowledge sharing and reduce onboarding friction.
• • Advocate for infrastructure reliability, security, and observability through the adoption of policy-as-code and network observability tools where applicable.
