- • Architect and ship core mobile commerce products that are durable, fast, and clean, working across frontend, backend, and database layers to deliver measurable impact.
- • Design and implement proactive AI agent orchestration layers used by thousands of high-growth Shopify brands to enhance shopper experiences and drive revenue.
- • Prototype and iterate on novel human-agent interaction patterns that redefine how merchants and customers engage through mobile commerce platforms.
- • Own end-to-end product development from prototype to production, collaborating directly with the CEO, product designers, and key stakeholders.
- • Dogfood Tapcart’s platform and apps daily to deeply understand merchant needs and ensure product quality, performance, and usability.
- • Raise the bar for engineering craft by establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineers to uphold high technical standards.
- • Actively participate in recruiting efforts by evaluating candidates, conducting technical interviews, and helping build a team of high-performing engineers.
- • Work side-by-side with merchants to gather direct feedback, validate assumptions, and ship iterative improvements that deliver value quickly.
- • Build software that reaches over 200 million shoppers worldwide, with products powering $15B+ in annual revenue for brands like Princess Polly, Béis, Forever 21, and Young LA.
- • Operate in a lean, management-minimal environment where engineering is core to every role — from leadership to individual contributors — with full autonomy over outcomes.
- • Use Tapcart’s own platform daily to inform product decisions and ensure alignment between internal tooling and customer-facing experiences.
- • Contribute to a culture that deeply values AI usage in daily workflows — actively leveraging AI agents and expecting candidates to do the same.
- • Prioritize craftsmanship in software development, with the ability to articulate and defend technical decisions based on systems that inspire you.
- • Ship constantly in a profitable, VC-backed company with strong growth momentum and direct access to real-world user data and merchant pain points.

- • Demonstrated skills across frontend, backend, and database layers
